There are many sites and apps that let you create computer generated art.  

FYI:

Last year, some students had a hard time saving some of these and they snipped it or took a desktop image then place in a document to submit.

Graffiti Creator (Grades 3-12)  This is a graffiti text paint tool where students can type in a name or phrase and create unique logos and images.  http://graffiticreator.net/

Tessellation Tool   (Grades 3-7)

Digital Drawings/Paintings 

When you think of drawing or art, you may think first of the digital world, but these tools have found new life on the web.  From drawing programs to paint programs, students can create their own drawings from any place at any time.  Online drawing tools can allow students to be creative and some even offer some collaboration on the same canvas at the same time.

Graphic Design/logo

Graphic Design uses software to combining text and pictures to create a new kind of meaning to represent a product, place, person, etc.

 

You can use many of the same tools that are listed on this page to create a graphic design/logo.

 

 

Scoring Rubric for Graphic Design - Logo:

 

 

 

 

 

Tux Paint is a free download for students.  This software can be easily downloaded.  The only thing to remember TuxPaint saves all drawings in a TuxPaint folder, unless you choose to save it somewhere else.
