Is there a limit to participants?

Quiz activity is limitied to 50 users at a time, you can simply clear room to remove other class information and a new class can join.

Does Socrative grade short answers?

Yes, this is a new feature, teachers just input the acceptable answers in to the system and Socrative does the rest.

Space race is an interactive game feature of Socrative. The race allows students to work in pairs or in small groups. As the teams, answer questions the students race to be the first team to cross the finish line.

Ways to Use Socrative
in the Classroom

Socrative:

Socrative is a cloud based student response system. It is a great way for collecting data from students, either anonymously or in formats where the student enters their name. Socrative makes class fun, but it also does your grading for your and gives you a dashboard with student performance data. Socrative is a great tool to engage, assess, and save time.

What can you do with Socrative?

Multiple Choice: ask MC questions and see student responses on the projection screen as a bar chart so you can have student discussions about the results
Short Answer: ask open-ended questions, student respond to the answer or express their thoughts
Quick Quizzes: self paces quiz and then the results are exported to a report that is automatically graded and recorded
Imported Questions: Cut down prep time. You can create questions in Excel and import them into socrative. You can also share quizzes with other teachers and import their quizzes to use in your classroom.
Team Challenges: Turn a quiz into a game. Students or team race to get the right answers.
Exit Tickets: Get a quick, paper free pulse check with the use of socrative exit ticket form at the end of class.
