Just what is Evernote.....
Evernote is an application that allows you to capture information and share across platforms and sync your work automatically. That information is then searchable and accesible from any web enabled device.
Evernote allows your student or yourself to take notes, collaborate with each other on notes or projects, and even take or share a picture.
As we are looking to start our students on a path for their future, digital tools as Evernote teaches our students skills and concepts that will help them be successful as a lifelong learner.

Basic guide to using Evernote in a Lesson
Evernote:
Student & Teacher Use:
Handwritten Notes: Students can still have them cann or take snapshot of notes and then they will have it digitally
Notebooks: Create your own notebooks for your notes and creations
Portfolios: Students can use Evernote as a space to be self-award, show growth, and provide a holistic view of learning
(accounts have a 13 age limit, but schools do work around this with parent permission and thanks to google with the email +#, to protect students )
Student owned: Students own and manage, in and out of school and they are responsible for archiving, the teacher is just the coach on the sidelines.
Self Reflection: Students can use photo, audio, and text to reflect on science experiments, how their learning has changed, or critically anaylzing a piece of art, etc.

Flexibility: Students could use Evernote with any web-enabled device.
Sharing: Students could make their notebooks public
Research: capture, organize, and maintain notes on materials online
Use tags: Add tags to your work to effectively keep track of all your notes and allows for it to be selected during searches to find things faster.
What Is Evernote’s Approach to Information Collected From Children?
Evernote complies with the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”), which requires us to notify and obtain consent from a parent or guardian before we collect, use and disclose the personal information of children who are under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age without such consent, and if we learn that we have inadvertently done so, we will promptly delete it.
