Digital Etiquette

 

Digital Etiquette are the standards of conduct that happen online by digital technology users.  It is the manners that one should possess when online.  It is also knows as good online citizenship.  Digital Etiquettte are the standards that all technology users should show and expect from others.

 

Cyberbullying is when you use technology NOT demonstrating good citizenship.  Cyberbullying can include harassing, threatening, embarassing, or targeting a person in a bad way.   

 

Etiquette is also Ethical or Character:

• Respect age limits on networking sites

• Read and abide by terms of use

• Avoid piracy---- stealing of any kind

• Always give authors credit

• Respect all citizens

• Don't use sarcasm

• Be courteous

• Use the "golden rule"

• Don't give out passwords
